The Real Estate Board of Greater Vancouver (REBGV) has published their February 2011 market statistics. Buyers were getting an early start on Spring home shopping, as the market saw listings outpace the 10-year average in certain areas of the board.

A steady influx of new listings has helped create a balanced 'typical spring' housing market in Greater Vancouver. The REBGV reports that residential property sales are up 38.5% compared to March 2009.  The MLSLink Housing Price Index benchmark price for all residential properties also increased 20.3%. This price is 2.8% above the previous high point in the market in May 2008.
